Simriz is a family of perfluoroelastomer o-ring compounds designed to provide superior chemical resistance and thermal stability. It possesses the resilience of an elastomer with chemical resistance approaching that of PTFE. The appeal of Simriz is in its universal chemical resistance. Each Simriz compound has additional properties to meet specific application requirements.
Chemraz® combines the resilience and sealing force of an elastomer with chemical resistance approaching that of PTFE. Chemraz solves some of the most difficult sealing problems in natural gas power generators and truck diesel engines while offering outstanding in-use cost effectiveness through reductions in warranty claims and down time. Chemraz resists attack by nearly all chemical reagents, including inorganic and organic acids, alkalines, ketones, esters, aldehydes, alcohols and fuels. As a result, Chemraz, engineered by Greene, Tweed, provides long-term service in virtually all applications where vehicle-operating temperatures are elevated and reduced emission requirements are paramount.
Precix is a worldwide leader in o-ring design and manufactures a
perfluoroelastomer o-ring which meets military specification AMS7257. It is designed for very demanding sealing applications in aggressive chemical and high heat environments. Resistant to attack by nearly all chemical reagents including organic and inorganic acids, alkalines, ketones, esters, alcohols, fuels and hot waters. Used primarily by the chemical processing, aerospace and semiconductor industries. It is equivalant to various Kalrez®, Chemraz® and Simriz® compounds and handles a typical temperature range of 5-572° F.
